3-d Landscape – 19/10/2020
On October 19, 2020 by Sophie MartynI looked at the artist/ photographer called Erin Sullivan. She is a travel photographer who shoots Incredible Nature Photos With Household Items And Optical Illusions.
She said on her website “I had the idea to create outdoor adventure scenes out of objects in my house. I found that creating this series of images helped me keep my imagination active and my creative practice alive.” Erin called the series “The Photo Series that Went *Viral*”
Here is a few of inspiration I took for my photo –
I found it fascinating the way she used granulated sugar to make the last photo. The way she also used house hold items to make these crazy looking pieces. I wanted recreate these pictures but I chose to do the last one. I have figures from a previous project and they are builders. due to this I didn’t have much of an option but I made it work. I placed them in a whiteish setting as if they are digging for something in the snow. I think they came out really well.
Here are my photos –
I am happy with the way they came out. I got some comments back on my work which were from fellow class members –
I like the first image with the figure and dead trees, I also like how you have arranged the flour in piles to make it appear like snow.
I’m enjoying the composition and selection of figurines. the middle one feels like a formal portrait.
Really good depth of field in this one which brings out the character really like this one.
