music photography portrait – 25/11/2020
On November 25, 2020 by Sophie MartynFor this photo, I used Tom Oldham as inspiration because I recently looked at his work while completing a history photography research task. His work stood out to me. This is the photo I copied –
I like the way the edited photo looks quite close to the original but I like the way that it is a little bit different. I used a led light with a blue gel over it to make it bluer. I used a white back ground as I knew I wanted to crop out the background. I experimented with the way I wanted the halo but I think the halo just behind her head works the best. I like the way that the model contrasts with the background but it isn’t too different. I did have the halo as a white colour but I changed it to a halo to a pinky/ purple colour. I did this so that it wasn’t such a bright colour and that it didn’t stand out too big against the background and the model.
Step by step how I completed this photo –
I took a photo of my sister then cut her out from the background as I didn’t want the back ground.
I then made a copy of my cut-out sister and made her solid colour black
then added a halo behind her changing the size of the glow to low because I didn’t want the halo to cover the back ground.
I added in a picture behind and zoomed into the colour on the picture which I thought looked very similar.
